Who is God?
We all think we have this great idea of who God is. Each one may differ from the other. We all think ours is right and everyone else's is wrong. But did we check with God to see if that is true. Over the next several weeks we will be taking an indept look at a resource where God has revealed Himself to us. In Dr. David Platt's teachings over the years, one Secret Church he and his church conducted was "Who is God". Using a lot of the information Dr. Platt has made available to us, I hope I can share just a little of God's revelation to us through His Word. I am including a link to some incredible notes that Dr. Platt and those involved with Secret church have available as a resource to us. Copy the link and add to your browser.

As this is from the Secret Church website, I give all credit to those individuals that have provided it for us to study for ourselves. This information is not for us to horde as our own but to share with as many others as we are learning from God who He says He is.
Northside Baptist Church believes that spiritual growth happens when a believer takes responsibility for his or her personal relationship with God. This is accomplished as an individual builds his or her walk with God's Son, Jesus Christ, through:
Prayer
Bible reading
Connecting with others
Serving
Gathering with other believers for worship and teaching
Sharing one's faith
Giving
Our responsibility as a church is to provide opportunities that promote and encourage the process of spiritual growth. At Northside Baptist Church, this happens through our strategy of Gather, Commit and Serve. We believe strongly in relationship building, so everything we do as a church is designed to get people to fully participate in this strategy. Learning to pray, read your Bible, connect with others, serve, worship, share your faith and give for the first time can be intimidating or seem like an overwhelming task. If you feel stuck or anxious about what your next step of spiritual growth may be and how to go about it, a real life group is a great place to start. The Northside staff is also interested in helping to provide resources to point you in the right direction on your journey. For more about these resources, please email us.
